With over six-million worldwide fans, the 206 continues to appeal and with prices from £7,595 including a £1,000 customer saving you can see why. For customers wanting to enjoy versatile design the 307 CC and 307 SW offer great practicality.
Of course everyone seems to want the 207 – throughout last year it was one of Europe’s best-selling cars and since it is available in three- or five-door hatchback, petrol or diesel, as a folding roof CC or a folding flat-seat SW, the broad choice clearly makes it a favourite, with prices starting from £9,295 on-the-road. 207 models (except GTi) also qualify for 5.9% ‘Passport’ finance.
And if you like to play on the topicality of having a new ‘08’ plate car, then you might be ideally placed to take a good look at the new Peugeot 308. Available in five trim levels – Urban, S, Sport, SE and GT – you can also have three- or five-door hatchbacks – each with a modern and high quality interior and exterior design. Of special interest is the 1.6-litre HDi 90 Diesel engine which quite apart from providing impressive driving performance, emits just 120 g/km of CO2, enabling it to be London Congestion Charge exempt from October. Starting at £11,995 customers can sample the 308 experience with a 24-hour test drive**** and for a limited period only, a complimentary specification upgrade is available – i.e. for the price of a 308 S you could get a higher-specification 308 Sport – if you move quickly! The full range of petrol and diesel models, in all trim levels, is now available, with the new 308 SW due soon.
Moving further up the range, customers seeking a bigger vehicle might look closer at the 407 – available in Saloon, SW or the sleek Coupé bodystyles. From £15,700 the 407 makes distance no object, and features the very latest diesel engines.
New to the SUV sector comes the 4007, bringing a very modern, stylish approach, featuring 5+2 seating – a five-seater where every seat has rake adjustment, and two seats are cleverly concealed in the boot floor for when required. A split folding tailgate includes, on the optional satellite navigation equipped models, a brilliant colour reversing camera. Prices start from £22,000 and all models feature the HDi 156 turbo diesel engine, six-speed transmission and ‘on demand’ four-wheel drive.
For executive transportation the 607 has a specification, including electrically operated boot lid, so high that there is only one option – what colour would you like? And finally, with the family in mind, the 807, which combines versatility, performance, safety and seating for up to eight people*****, and is available from £19,662.
* Figures released recently by the SMMT show the 107 was the best-selling low-emissions car of 2007.** Passport is Peugeot’s popular finance scheme that enables you to pay a minimum deposit, have a guaranteed future value on your car, and at the end of your chosen repayment period (25, 31 and 37 months) you have three options; to purchase the vehicle by paying the outstanding amount, hand it back or use it as a deposit to finance your next new Peugeot vehicle.
*** Price quoted includes £1,000 customer saving and applies to 107 Urban Lite 3dr. This customer saving is not available on any other model in the 107 range.
**** 308 is available to assess on a 24-hour test drive by either visiting www.peugeot.co.uk, calling 0845 200 1234 or by texting ‘YES’ to 60222.
***** 807 is normally a seven-seater, but a bench seat option makes it able to carry eight
All offers are subject to availability, were correct at the time of going to press, and are part of a campaign in the UK (not Northern Ireland), that ends 31st March 2008.
