Maximum cargo space is a huge 2,149-litres thanks to the 308 SW being 100mm longer than its 307 predecessor. The SW will be available with the same engine range as the hatch, with a choice of five petrol and three turbodiesel engines. This will
include the same 175bhp 1.6-litre turbocharged engine as in the new 308 GT.

Peugeot says this hot model covers 0-62mph in 8.3 seconds and gives 37.1mpg economy. Prices for both the 308 GT and SW models will be announced closer to their on-sale dates.
